Salsa Cycles continue to be sought after bikes and here are some highlights of their 2012 range: Salsa's new 2012 Horsethief is their new 29er full suspension trail bike, designed for all-day riding on rugged terrain. It features a tapered headtube and 120mm of rear travel through a custom tuned Fox RP23 Kashima coated shock (UK exclusive) and can be paired with either a 120 or 140mm fork depending on your riding style. The unique pivot minimising suspension system features 'flex stays' and a 142 x 12mm Maxle to help keep the rear end tight and tracking straight. Removing the rear pivot reduces complexity, chassis weight and potential maintenance issues. The bottom bracket has ISCG 05 tabs to protect your chainset and the frame has guides for dropper seatpost cable runs. The perfect bike for the UK. Devour terrain. Conquer obstacles. Enjoy life. Horsethief: There's a new sheriff in town. From 2012 onwards Salsa have developed three levels of kit for the bikes. Level 1 is the highest level and is generally a US custom option based around the top end frame option or Ti option and the best parts available. Level 2 is more affordable and based around Sram X9 & X7 components and Level 3 is the most affordable being based on X7 & X5. Similar distinction applies to the road bikes. Salsa have also added to their parts line up with new bars for Mountain, Cross and Road, 2 new seatposts, a new value for money stem, and a Frame bag for the Mukluk bike. And Salsa still offers their famous seatclamps and skewers...
